In Charente-Maritime, the Île d’Oléron’s biggest town, Saint-Georges d’Oléron, promises relaxing and replenishing stays. Expect 16 kilometres of sandy beaches, a marina, pine forests, and authentic architecture to get you dreaming.

The two-star Résidence Les Sables Vignier boasts direct dune access to one of the area’s very best beaches:  the Sables Vignier beach. The residence lies hidden among the pine trees, featuring terraced air-conditioned accommodation and a heated indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. Shops and supermarkets are within driving distance, just a few minutes away from the residence.
The Île d’Oléron is known in French as the ‘island of light’, and recently became France’s leading cycling island. Whether on foot or by bike, delve into the many different landscapes and activities that await here: forests, beaches, white-washed thatched houses with colourful shutters, marinas and oyster farms, and vineyards galore.
