The Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes: Ardennes is home to no fewer than 12 natural parks, and this is the best known of them all.

Parc Naturel Régional de l’Avesnois: Known as the ‘little Switzerland of the North’, this park is made up with rolling green hills, bocage prairies and meadows, sweeping forestland and crystal-clear brooks and streams.

Château country: Make the most of a trip to Valjoly to see the châteaux of Trelon, Chimay and Imbrechies.

Atelier-Musée du Verre glass workshop and museum: Housed in an old glass-making factory in Trelon and dating back to 1823, the museum is a stunning example of industrial architecture and ancestral expertise.

Musée des Bois Jolis: This old water mill is now a wood crafting museum.

Roman forum in Bavay: A listed site of national archaeological interest and a historic monument, this forum is scattered with Roman ruins.
