Things to see in and around Serre Chevalier

The Vallée de Serre Chevalier: cut through by the Guisane river, this is the perfect place to try out some white water sports. The Col de la Guisane, Col de Lautaret and Col du Galibier mountain passes are excellent spots for cyclists, too.

Parc National des Écrins: this vast stretch of untouched wilderness is home to no fewer than 150 peaks towering up over 3,000 metres high. A total of 700 km of walks and trails meander across a full 918 km².

Briançon: tour of the Vauban fortifications, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Other must-see sites: Les Grands Bains de Monêtier, La Croix de Toulouse.

From PARIS/ LYON/ TURIN/ NICE>> A43 >> exit Oulx, Mongenèvre. From Grenoble/ Lyon/ Paris >> A51 exit Pont de Claix. Head to Bourg d’Oisans, follow signs for La Grave, Col du Lautaret, followed by Briançon city centre. Head towards Gap and take the exit for Briançon. Turn right to get to residence. From Marseille or Montpellier, take motorway A51 Exit “La Saulce”, RN94 heading to Briançon, follow signs for the city centre. 100 metres further along turn left and you’ve arrived.



By plane

Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport 200 km away. Turin airport 108 km away.
